KAIST founded the Center for Ambitious Failure in 2021 to encourage enterprising research that does not fear failure and challenges it, and at its 53rd anniversary ceremony in 2024, KAIST won the 1st Award for Ambitious Failure, which is given to researchers who are not afraid of failure.
Professor Moonzoo Kim of KAIST School of Computing/VplusLab discussed co-starting with Company M to commercialize SW automatic testing technology developed independently for more than 20 years, but he overcame this and successfully operated the SW automatic testing business by starting VPlusLab Inc. and won the main award.
